A 45 tesla hybrid magnet will be operational in Tallahassee in late 1997. It
will have a 32 mm bore and will therefore allow use of sample holders built for other NHMFL high field magnets as long as allowance has been made for the extra length required to reach the center of the magnetic field. Prospective users who plan to bring their own sample holders should discuss dimensions with the Director of Instrumentation and Operations at the Tallahassee facility.
